Terry M. Killian, M.D., established his Springfield, Illinois psychiatric private practice in May 1990. Since 1999, Dr. Killian has increased his forensic work, which has become the majority of his practice. His forensic experience includes numerous independent medical exams for employers, fitness to stand trial examinations, sanity examinations, and civil cases. He has been qualified as an expert witness in the field of general psychiatry in more than twenty Illinois counties. Dr. Killian has frequently been retained by prosecutors as well as defense attorneys for forensic psychiatric work. Dr. Killian is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He continues accepting referrals for forensic work, but not for new patients.
